The Choose Love Movement was founded by Scarlett Lewis in memory of her first grade son, Jesse Lewis, who left a message on his familyʻs kitchen chalkboard one morning- "Nurturing, Healing Love". He was murdered later that day, alongside 19 of his classmates and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to ensuring that every child has access to Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in their classrooms and to help facilitate this teaching within their families, schools, and communities. The Choose Love Enrichment Program is a FREE Pre-K through 12th gr. evidence-based curriculum that emphasizes the simple, universal teachings of courage, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion in action.
